Summary

This position is responsible for the overall management of the production department which includes staffing, production planning, department budgeting, and improvement activities. The Production Manager is responsible for defining strategic production roadmaps and department goals, adhering to the production budget and production deadlines. This position is key to the strategic organizational goals that will align the company as the preferred metalized ceramic provider in the semiconductor industry.

  • Supervise all staff in Production Department in compliance with Stellar Industries’ policies and guidelines
  • Develop and manage department vision, goals, and strategy in alignment with TRUMPF Photonics and TRUMPF group targets
  • Responsible for short, mid, and long-term department development. Create or revise standards and programs for operational procedures, organizational structure, working practices, SYNCHRO improvements, and process digitization
  • Plan and review high-level production plan based on forecast and take necessary actions to maintain a cost-effective demand & supply balance
  • Develop and monitor key figures (key performance indicators) according to Stellar Industries’ Production Standards and implement necessary actions to ensure satisfactory performance
  • Manage and develop existing shop floor management methods to increase transparency and operation efficiency
  • Develop the production budget and monitor the spending for the most cost-efficient operation and forecast needs for the department regarding staffing, training, and equipment
  • Work closely with the facilities team to ensure all critical manufacturing equipment is in an operational state of readiness
  • Ensure Preventive Maintenance tasks’ completion to improve equipment effectiveness by focusing on proactive as well as preventative techniques for increasing plant and equipment reliability/uptime
  • Work closely with Engineering Department to introduce design changes, new products, and quality improvement projects of products
  • Responsible for all quality aspects of the Production Department and other quality-related systems/topics
  • Oversee the integrated quality control process in cooperation with our quality department: quality of end products and troubleshooting of specific quality problems
  • Maintain close cooperation with other TRUMPF subsidiaries, external partners, and customers to stay up-to-date with group internal and industry trends
  • Ensure all safety and health standards are met to maintain an accident-free organization
  • Other duties as designated by upper management

Experience

Previous experience in a manufacturing supervisory position is required. Familiarity with metalized ceramics products is a plus. Must have a strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes, project management, SYNCHRO principles, and MS office. Prior experience managing multiple projects organization-wide and leadership skills to ensure employee collaboration at varying levels of employee seniority with strong interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills that will ensure the ability to lead and gain the respect of the employee base.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, either in engineering/manufacturing or a related field or a suitable combination of education and work experience.

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for coordination and development of quality control aspects within the organization. Her/his duties will include but not limited to: Development, implementation and standardization of new processes and quality initiatives. Ensure quality of company products and processes in all applicable areas.

  • Support of Quality Assurance and Quality Control aspects for Stellar Industries core processes
  • Coordination of all Quality Assurance aspects within respective departments
  • Monitoring of system-related and product-related corrective and preventive measures
  • Coordination of measurement equipment programming, calibration and maintenance of calibration system
  • Ensure gage capability of measuring and testing equipment
  • Development of inspection plans, statistical process analysis and control
  • Assist ito ensure AS9100 requirements are implemented and maintained
  • Planning, executing and evaluating of internal audits
  • Performing of risk analysis
  • Responsible for Key Figure maintenance, communication of results, coordination of improvement efforts and goals settings
  • Assistance in Vendor Quality Management
  • Develops project plans while incorporating both short and long term strategies, manages project team activities, communicates changes and progress to team members, maintains data and reports to track progress, monitors work to ensure quality and completes projects on time and budget
  • Other related duties as designated by manager

Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years prior experience in a similar position required. Must have strong working knowledge of quality control and manufacturing equipment and processes. Professional certifications such as 6 Sigma Green/Black Belt is preferred. Must be able to handle multiple projects across the organization and provide leadership to, collaborate and work with employees at varying level of seniority. MS Office applications and data analysis software experience required. Must exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to lead and to gain the respect of other employees. Familiarity with Stellar Industries products is preferred.

Education

Minimum of 2-year technical degree (manufacturing/mechanical engineering) or the suitable combination of education and work experience. Bachelors / graduate degree with relevant coursework is preferred.

Summary

The Shipping Receiving Associate is responsible for processing all company incoming and outgoing shipments. This is a part time position, hours 1pm-6pm Monday-Thursday.

  • Receive incoming materials and confirm the packing list is accurate based on the part and quantity received.
  • Document incoming shipments on Power BI One Time Starts, receive purchase orders in Realtrac purchasing software.
  • Deliver materials or move materials to a holding area and notify the correct person of the material receipt.
  • Maintain the electronic shipment schedule based on completed customer parts that will ship in accordance with specified customer delivery dates.
  • Ensure the correct packaging of materials for safe shipment.
  • Generate a daily ship list that identifies customer job number and quantity to be shipped in advance of shipment for billing coordination.
  • Determine the method of shipment based on customer order and arrange to ship; prepare shipper letter of instructions, packing list, and other shipping documents, manually or by computer.
  • Monitor shipping supplies weekly and submit the completed requisition form to the Purchasing Department
  • Track missing incoming/outgoing shipments as needed and contact freight provider if needed.
  • Daily house maintenance of the shipping/receiving area to remove all trash, and cardboard, and keep the floor clean of debris.

 

Experience

Previous experience in manufacturing supply chain. Proficient in basic Microsoft office applications and prior computer experience. Ability to prioritize workload.
